July 2011 - Mr Snow has just been awarded the 2011 PraxisUnico Collaborative Impact Award. The award recognises his exceptional collaboration with Engineers Dr Bing Wang and Dr Mahmoud Chizari during the development of GraftBolt®, the novel anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) fixation device.

May 2011 - Mr. Snow is currently carrying out first phase human trials of a new type of procedure for cartilage regeneration at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.

INSTRUCT uses a patients own bone marrow and cartilage cells to repair damaged cartilage. The cells are placed within a ‘scaffold’ that is designed to fill the cartilage defect and protect the new cartilage cells whilst they grow within it.

Potential patients are : Aged 18-55 years old
Diagnosed with a single knee cartilage defect (or lesion) due to an accident, trauma, or osteochondritis dissecans (OCD).
Generally well and able to undergo knee surgery.
Not suffering from osteoarthritis within the knee.
